The eclectic Elio with I Fiati Associati will be the protagonists of the opening concert of the second edition of the Marconi Music Festival, the music festival of the Bologna airport organized with the artistic direction of Emilia Romagna Festival. On the stage of the Marconi Business Lounge – Friday, April 6th at 12 – some of the most famous pieces of Kurt Weill’s The Three penny Opera with texts by Bertolt Brecht, will bwe performed in the unique style of the histrionic, unpredictable, volcanic, irreverent “terrible boy” of Italian music.
The Three penny Opera (Die Dreigroschenoper) is the most famous and represented opera by Bertolt Brecht. The author sets the story in the London underworld, staging the world of underclass, bandits and derelicts, with the music of Kurt Weill that are an important element of the opera and ranging from jazz to entertaining music, with even elements from opera and sacred music.
Among the most eclectic Italian artists Stefano Belisari, stage name Elio, will be accompanied by I Fiati Associati, composed for this occasion by Massimo Mercelli – flute, Luca Vignali – oboe, Ettore Biagi – clarinet, Davide Maia – bassoon and Paolo Faggi – horn.
The instrumental ensemble was born in 2009 from the collaboration of some of the most important and prominent Italian musicians, well known also on the international scene, with the will to create original projects that enhance the formations for woodwinds and brass instruments also through new arrangements.
