On August 31st in Imola in the Cloister of the Bishop’s Palace, the cello of Boris Andrianov, a Russian talent discovered by Rostropovic and Daniel Shaffran, will meet the bayan (a sort of button accordion) of Yuri Medyanik, multifaceted musician, with Bach sonatas originally composed for viola da gamba and harpsichord, reinterpreted according to the peculiar composition of the duo.
The timbre of the bayan and the cello can appear distant, in reality it is a perfect harmonic fusion that allows the listeners to appreciate the Bach polyphonic in a new soundtrack.
Before the concert, at 7.15 pm, there will be a guided tour of the Diocesan Museum of the Bishop’s Palace.
