On 2 December at the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza at 6.30 pm, will perform the Strings Ensemble Giuseppe Sarti, born from the school of music Giuseppe Sarti, accompanied by Marco Farolfi at the harpsichord, with the Maestro Paolo Zinzani in the role of conductor and solo violin. The program, in addition to pieces by Bach, Vivaldi, Händel and Gregori, will see a Paolo Alberghi piece performed for the first time in public.

Paolo Alberghi was a virtuoso violinist, pupil of Tartini and author of numerous compositions for strings, such as Concerts, Sonatas, Triosonate and others. The concert in the program, a Concerto in G major for violin and strings, is performed for the first time on this occasion. The restoration of the score is the work of Marco Farolfi and takes part of a project of recovery, aimed at the diffusion of the works by Alberghi, promoted together with the G. Sarti School of Music in Faenza.

Before the concert, at 5 pm it will be possible to visit, accompanied by a guide, the exhibition “Aztecs, Maya, Inca and the cultures of ancient America”, to discover about three hundred finds from the MIC collection together with other works from the most important Italian anthropological museums and two private collections. To take part in the guided tour of the exhibition: reservations required at ERF 0542 25747 by Friday, November 30 at 5 pm.
