“Concerti al Museo Diocesano 2019” is the title of the new concert series, presented today at the Palazzo Vescovile, under the artistic direction of Emilia Romagna Festival.
From 10 April to 10 December 2019, great international music will be hosted in the Sala Grande of the Diocesan Museum and in the Cloister of the Bishop’s Palace.
Five concerts organized to enhance the spaces and collections of the Diocesan Museum through the fusion of art and music.
The first concert will be on Wednesday 10 April with Giuseppe Albanese, one of the most requested pianists of his generation. An excursus among the most significant melodies specially composed by great composers of the nineteenth-twentieth century for ballets that became masterpieces of the genre. The proceeds of the concert will be used for the restoration of the Sacra famiglia con San Giovannino, a fascinating oil painting of the second half of the sixteenth century.
