The Hungarian pianist János Balázs, among the most famous and celebrated in the world, will perform at Imola with PianOpera. The concert on Monday 18 March (at 9.00 pm) will be dedicated to pieces from the opera tradition, from Rossini to Wagner, from Verdi to Puccini, in the transcriptions of Liszt, Cziffra and Balázs himself.

Balázs will stage Wagner and Verdi in the keys of a single piano. To the same Liszt tradition also belonged Georges Cziffra, master of the Hungarian piano school, along with Horowitz one of the greatest virtuosos of the twentieth century. Cziffra will be present in PianOpera with the transcription of Rossini’s Guglielmo Tell.
