The Iranian pianist Ramin Bahrami returns to the festival – Thursday 27 August (9.30 pm), at the San Domenico Arena in Forlì – with the Goldberg Variations, the monument-work of the great Eisenach master, father of Western music.

The Goldberg Variations are among Bach’s pages that contributed to the discovery of Bahrami’s talent. The great Iranian pianist crosses the thirty variations looking for their common breath, with balance and concentration. This work marked his debut in 2004 with the Decca record label, and immediately manifested the personal expressive character of this interpreter, who does not abandon himself to the emphasis of virtuosity and research in Bach a profound nature. Bahrami’s Bach is the inspired, hopeful description of an ideal world.
