Pietro Beltrani, a classical pianist from Imola, several times a guest of the Emilia Romagna Festival, on Tuesday 1 September (9 pm) brings his jazz and improvisation performance to the Garden of the Municipal Library in Alfonsine.

The programme includes a series of original jazz-style arrangements of music by classical authors, such as Mussorgsky, Rachmaninov and Debussy, up to pieces by Bill Evans, Art Tatum and the great protagonists of the twentieth-century American music; as well as a tribute to Ennio Morricone, who passed away just this year.

Beltrani will also perform original songs, contained in his CDs released in recent years, My Perfect Day (2016) and Life (2017), which clearly show the inspiration from the works by Michel Petrucciani and Keith Jarrett; together with classic songs by Chopin and Skrjabin.
