A concert with one of the most powerful and significant voices of the Italian music scene in recent years is coming to Castel San Pietro Terme. On Friday 2 July (9.30 pm) the Tuscan singer Karima performs on the stage of the Arena Theatre, together with her historical collaborator, Piero Frassi at the piano.

The only Italian singer to have had the honor of collaborating with Burt Bacharach, from whom it was produced, and for which the “Maestro” composed some songs, the Italian-Algerian Karima, on stage with the piano only accompaniment, tells through the music, his faithful companion in life, travelling through memories, emotions and passion. To embark on this journey she relies on the friendship and talent of Piero Frassi, who dresses her voice with beautiful arrangements.

Karima approached the music as a teenager, participating in Bravo Bravissimo and Domenica In. She then participated in the talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi, where she ranked third, winning the Journalists’ Critics’ Award and obtaining a recording contract with Sony BMG. In 2009 she is at the Sanremo Festival in the category New Proposals. Among the many experiences, in 2017 the Italian-Algerian singer opens a concert for Whitney Houston.

On stage with Karima there will be the Pisan pianist Piero Frassi, who accompanies her and has been following her for 15 years. She has made numerous appearances at national and international Jazz Festivals. She is part of the quintet of singer Michela Lombardi, with whom she has recorded several records.

We meet Karima for another unmissable appointment, Saturday, July 3 (21.30) at the Arena San Domenico in Forlì, with her latest record release “No Filter”.
