On 26 January, at the Ebe Stignani Theatre in Imola at 9.00 pm, the winter season ERF#StignaniMusica 2018/19 continues with “Europa Barocca”, a concert focusing on the greatest Baroque composers such as Fasch, Telemann, Rameau, Vivialdi and Janitsch, played by the acclaimed German oboist Hans-Jörg Schellenberger and the internationally renowned ensemble Collegium Pro Musica, composed by Stefano Bagliano on flute, Giampiero Zanocco on violin, Alberto Pisani on cello and Massimiliano Faraci on harpsichord.

The Baroque, only recently rediscovered in the music of its best authors, is able to evoke, in the simple characteristic touch of the harpsichord or in the sound of the oboe, the sumptuous and charged atmospheres that have characterized Europe between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. With these atmospheres the Collegium Pro Musica works, one of the most significant ensembles in the interpretation of the Baroque repertoire, they will perform together with the great oboist Hans-Jörg Schellenberger – conducted several times by names as von Karajan, Claudio Abbado, Carlo Maria Giulini and Riccardo Muti. “Europa Barocca” will bring to the audiance the purest styles of the Baroque, with pieces from the eternal Vivaldi but also from the almost forgotten Rameau, the self-taught harpsichordist who only recently is included in the repertoires. Complete the program the music of Germanic authors such as Fasch, Janitsch and Telemann – one of the greatest German musicians.
