After the concerts of Imola and Castel San Pietro, La Toscanini Next, the new generation of the well-known symphony orchestra, is put to the test with a new repertoire, Tuesday, July 20 (9.15) in the courtyard of the Abbey of Pomposa in Codigoro.
The title of the concert, Viva la Vida, is taken from the eponymous single of the British musical group Coldplay (2008), which in turn for this title was inspired by a painting by the well-known Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. And it will be this song of the English band to open the concert of La Toscanini Next for a musical journey able to combine the classics, with a tribute to Piazzolla, the contemporary pop of Coldplay and Sting and film music.

The Toscanini NEXT is an innovative orchestral project formed by musicians under 35, realized in collaboration and with the support of the cultural network of the Emilia-Romagna Region. The interaction and the mixture of genres and styles are the characteristics of his productive activity. The orchestra is in fact looking for new repertoires, new notes, able to involve different genres and styles, from jazz to contemporary, from musical to electronic, to chamber music; it combines classical sounds to symphonic pop. Among its main aims, that of bringing music in the squares, theaters, places of culture and memory to enter the connective tissue of the territory and get closer to the public.
