The Estonian Sinfonietta will be the orchestra that will perform on July 19 and 20 in Imola, in the Church of San Domenico, and in Castel San Pietro Terme at the Arena Theatre. Versatile and expert orchestra, composed by professionals who have been playing together for years and who have performed in the most famous European venues as well as in many important festivals, the Estonian Sinfonietta is able to offer both classic and new combinations.
On July 19th (9.00 pm), at the Church of San Domenico in Imola, “The Gold of Vienna” will be sperformed, a concert entirely dedicated to Austrian music, through the styles and the eras, from the classical Mozart to the contemporary Fiorini, with a tribute to the Baltic composers whit the performance of Summa by Arvo Pärt. Before the concert, from 19.30 to 20.30, public can participate (booking by calling ERF 0542 25747) in a guided tour of the beautiful Church of San Domenico.
On July 20th (9.30 pm) at the Arena Theatre in Castel San Pietro Terme they will present “Cinema mon amour”, a show conceived by the Estonian Sinfonietta, born from the love for music and cinema. Several pieces, from Pachelbel to Mozart, from Bach and Tormis, will be performed live, accompanied by video excerpt films such as Seven by David Fincher and fragments of The Gadfl, a Soviet film of ’55 with music by Shostakovič.
