Saturday 11 January (9 pm): the first 2020 concert of the Emilia Romagna Festival at the Teatro Stignani in Imola is with the brilliant contemporary pianist Martin Kasik.

The Prague pianist will be the protagonist of a recital with music by Czech authors Martinů and Janáček. The artist will also perform the famous paintings of an exhibition by Modest Musorgskij.

Martin Kasík has an absolute technique, an incredible fluidity and a great expressiveness.

Winner of numerous national and international competitions, he has performed both with orchestras and as soloist. He has performed with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and the Prague Symphony Orchestra, as soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and many others, with conductors such as Pinchas Zukerman, Marin Alsop, Yakov Kreizberg, and Ken-Ichiro Kobayashi.
