Three years after the release of “Spassiunatamente” which had seen for the first time Peppe Servillo and the Solis String Quartet face with the masterpieces of the classic Neapolitan song, here is “Presentimento” that can be considered the natural continuation of a project that ranges an immense musical panorama, without trying to limit it to a period or to an author.
From Gil to Viviani, from E.A. Mario to Cioffi/Pisano, from “Scalinatella” to “Mmez’o grano” and “M’aggia curà”, the list of authors and songs testifies to the extent of a show, always poised between music and theatre.
“Presentimento is often the condition of artists, storytellers, poets, authors of these songs that in their verses present and announce secrets, presences, betrayals, what could happen again or one would like to happen, and they do it with words that never seem to have been heard as the seers, the soothsayers of our love life. The music adds meaning and the precise word with laughter and tears, the orchestrations stage a sudden theatrical as if the story was born now with the song and announced the paradise between sleep and wakefulness.
